Glove

It is amazingly difficult to take a picture of your own hand with a dslr. I miss my digital elph, but that went the way of the dodo when someone (who will not be named) decided it was a good idea to close the camera by pusing the lens in rather than using the off button. In his defense, he was about 18 months at the time....

The first version, if you look in the album was about 10 stitches too wide (or so I thought.)
I ripped back to about 1/2 the cuff, and decreased in the ribbing. I'm not totally thrilled with how that part looks, but if it's the worst part of this, that is good. 1 1/2 fingers down, 3 1/2 to go. The thumb will be easiest, it's figuring out how many stitches for each finger that I am having some problem with. ah well, it's only yarn. It isn't that painful to rip out a finger... (it sounds way worse though!)

New stuff...

Lots of new stuff going up in the shop. Oh, how I wish that it posted itself. It would be *so* much faster that way.

some things that are in line to be put up are:

and:

Prep for the upcoming woolfest is coming along nicely, though I wish I had more time between now and then. Ah well, that's usually the way it is for me. Never enough time.

Some samples have been made, and some of the yarns I'm just thrilled with how they knit up.

is a 100% merino yarn.

is 51% silk, 49% merino, with a border of kid mohair with a nylon binder (which you can't see in that picture... what you also can't see is that it's a moebius)

is a aran weight BFL yarn, and this baby sweater will eventually have a zipper.
