Fair...

The last two weeks have just been crazy. I'm finally getting to listing all of the items that we got in right before the fair.

Hopefully soon I'll get all of the new yarns up, there are quite a lot of those.

The fair itself was fun, even with the uncooperative weather. Saturday morning it rained just enough that we all got a bit damp. The sun came out around noon, which was great, except that it was SO windy that I didn't even think about the fact that I didn't have on sunscreen. (oops!) The wind also succeeded in knocking several things over, such as my tent and part of my display.

Actually, it happened right before I took this picture. I was attempting to take one with the tent up, and the wind just came and tossed it over my head.

Sunday was better and yet not. The sun was shining, the wind was less, but it was COLD all day. The increase in attendance that everyone assured me of did not actually happen, so Sunday was not quite as good as Saturday. But then I hit up the fleece auction and picked up a Cheviot X (shetland?) a shetland moorit, a mohair, and a kid mohair, so the day was profitable... even if it wasn't quite the way I'd hoped.

Didn't do badly, all things considered. I definitely have ideas for next year.

Lots of new stuff arrived today, ball winders, umbrella swifts, more fiber.... I'm sure the mailman had fun dragging all those large boxes to the front door. :)

We're out Friday at Noon, and will return Sunday evening. All of the new stuff will be listed after we return from the Garden State Sheep Breeders Fair.

Sheep and Wool fest

Things here have been crazy busy. Twisted Fiber is going to vend at the NJ Sheep Breeders fair next weekend, so I've been packing everything up in tidy boxes rather than sticking it in my store area.

Some stuff is ready:

lots needs to be tagged (that large bottom box still needs to be skeined/dyed):
and quite a bit still needs to be dyed (this is perhaps 1/4-1/2 of what I need to do by Friday!):

That's it for my break, back to work!
